We at Osmans Optical Meyersdal have been open and building our family since 2016. I bought the practice from Vicki de Guisti who was practicing here for about 12 years prior. We are part of the Osmans Optical group, each practice is owned individually and currently we have 57 branches. Being part of this amazing group helps us to give you the very best pricing on the best quality frames, all the different brands of contact lenses and most importantly the superior quality of optical lenses.
Rolene and I are the “Dream-help-me-see- Team” and we pride ourselves in giving you the best personal optical experience from the first step into our practice until you leave as a 100% satisfied family member. I had a dream growing up to help people #see. My first encounter with eyes was when my dad had Lazik surgery and he couldn’t get the soft bandage contact lens out of his eye. He trusted a 7 year old girl to help him remove this soft contact lens. From that day onwards my vision and mission is to help people see what the world should actually looks like in ultra HD. Doing eye tests from toddlers to the millennials and very importantly and one of my biggest passions, our very wise elderly patients.
I started my studies at RAU in 2004 and graduated with an Honours B-Optom degree with diagnostic privileges. I also attend courses on an on-going basis to keep up with the latest research not just in Optometry but also in Ophthalmology. I work closely with the Eye Specialists in Meyersdal. I believe that clear vision is the most important one of our five senses. I will always take the time to help you understand what is wrong with your eyes, explain all your different options to correct your vision, with spectacles, contact lenses or even corrective surgery. I live by my personal motto “hou ‘n ogie op jou ogies” and being pro-active by testing your eyes annually before there are permanent irreversible damage. Because I have a high prescription myself, I have extra empathy with my patients. My love for eyes are not just my occupation but my passion too and that’s why I also help the under privilege where I can in close collaboration with the Alberton Lions club.
